Our approach
Pay for the diagnosis — understand the solution.
Some problems that look like rising damp are caused by condensation, plumbing leaks, defective rainwater goods, high external ground levels or other building defects. It is important to establish the cause before paying for treatment.
If the property needs no remedial work, we will say so. Where work is needed, your standard report will normally contain recommendations and a quotation for suitable works. If you require a report without a treatment quotation, please tell us when booking.
Any quotation is optional. You can use your report to obtain other estimates or make decisions about a purchase, sale or repair.

Normally, yes — where appropriate remedial work is required, our standard reports include a quotation. If you want a report without a treatment quotation, please request a report-only service when booking. You are not obliged to use DampServe for the work.
